Win (WN):
Your horse must come in first.
Place (PL):
Your horse must come in first or second.
Show (SH):
Your horse must come in first, second, or third.
Exacta (EX):
You pick which horses you think will come in first and second place in order.
Quinella (QN)
You pick which horses you think will come in first and second place in either order.
Trifecta (TR):
You pick which horses you think will come in first, second, and third place in exact order.
Superfecta (SU):
You pick which horses you think will come in first, second, third, and fourth place in exact order.
Exactas, Trifectas, and Superfectas have additional options.
- Box:
Horses you have selected can come in any order. (An Exacta Box is is the same as a Quinella but may have a seperate pool.) Example: a Superfecta Box 2, 4, 5, & 7, you will win if your horses finished in the top four positions, no matter the order. - Key:
One horse is selected to finish first with all others coming in any order. Example: with a Superfecta Key 2, with 4, 5, & 7, you will win if #2 finishes first and your other horses finish second, third and fourth, in any order. - Wheel:
Allows for multiple horse selections to finish in any given position. The number of possible combinations will vary according to the total number of entries in the race. Example: A Superfecta Wheel 1, 4, with 1, 4, 7, with 1, 4, 6, 7, with 1, 4, 6, 7, 10, to win 1 or 4 must finish first, 1, 4, or 7 must finish second, 1, 4, 6, or 7 must finish third, and 1, 4, 6, 7, or 10 must finish fourth.
Daily Double (DB):
You pick which horses will come in first in two consecutive races.
Pick 3 (P3):
You pick which horses will come in first in three consecutive races.
Pick 4 (P4):
You pick which horses will come in first in four consecutive races.
Pick 5 (P5):
You pick which horses will come in first in five consecutive races.
Pick 6 (P6):
You pick which horses will come in first in six consecutive races.
