Best in Class: A horse that is numberFire Top Rated by at least 5 pounds.
First Time Blinkers: A horse wearing blinkers for the first time.
Horses for Courses: A horse who has run to form (comparing their pre-race and post-race rating) significantly more at this track than others or with a strike rate above 50% here.
Hot Jockey: A jockey whose horses in the last 10 days are running to form (comparing their pre-race and post-race ratings) at least 50% of the time with a strike rate of over 20%.
Hot Trainer: A trainer whose horses in the last 10 days are running to form (comparing their pre-race and post-race ratings) at least 50% of the time with a strike rate of over 20%.
Improver: The horse can improve on previous runs.
Jockey Uplift: A horse being ridden for the first time by a jockey with a good record.
One to Watch: For at least one of the following reasons:
- Clear margin winner
- Hampered when should have won
- Last time out wide margin winners
- The horse has been running consistently well recently without winning.
- The horse ran well last time out with a matching time figure.
Sectional Flag: Of interest on the clock due to sectional times on previous run(s).
Trainer Uplift: A horse that has moved to either a statistically better barn or one that has a good record in improving recruits.
Warning Horse: Potentially poor value. Doubts on the strength of recent form.
